Sindi Harrison is the former Stow City Councilwoman representing Ward 2. Sindi was appointed to represent Ward 2 and sworn in on January 2, 2019. In November 2019 Sindi was elected to serve a full term as the Ward 2 Councilwoman and she was honored to continue her service to Stow through December 31, 2024. Sindi previously served the City of Stow as the Parks & Recreation Board representative for 6 years and served as the Parks Rep on Planning Commission for 2 years. Sindi has been a Stow Resident since 2012 and resides in Sherwood Acres with her husband Michael and their daughter Lauren.
Sindi has a background in business law and compliance. She has an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from Wright State University and earned her law degree from the University of Akron in 2007. While earning her law degree she had the privilege of working with the United States Marshals Services Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force in conjunction with the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office Project Safe Neighborhoods Grant. Sindi has since served as the Associate Legal Counsel of SDMyers in Tallmadge for 15 years were she oversaw business legal and risk management programs including contract review, safety & compliance, and insurance programs. Since 2022 Sindi has served as the Corporate Attorney of Great Lakes Cheese where she oversees contracts, regulatory compliance, insurance, and other related items.
During Sindi’s service from 2019 to 2023 she served on City Council and worked to reduce the overall debt of the city while maintaining the important infrastructure of the city. Sind’s goal for her future service is to ensure the City has a long term plan to be a thriving community for both businesses and residents.
Sindi enjoys spending time with her family, attending her daughter’s sporting events, and also volunteers with the Stow-Munroe Falls Booster Club.
