Council Meeting

Council met on Wednesday December 1^st for our first meeting in December.  There were discussions related to the court budget, approval of new park equipment for 2 neighborhood parks, updates on the road program for 2021, discussions related to the regional dispatch timeline, remembering Dennis Altieri and the vacancy left on Council in Ward 1.  Click below to read my full notes.

Council met Thursday evening for a shorter meeting.  We discussed the 2021 road program, Court funding for 2022, introduction of Regional Dispatch discussions, zoning code updates related to animals, 2020 approved vehicle purchases, and re-zoning of the driving range property.  We also re-scheduled our next council meeting to WEDNESDAY December 1, 2021 as to avoid a conflict with the Holiday Lighting program that was scheduled on December 2^nd.  Click below to read my full notes

We had 2 committees and our Council meeting Thursday evening. We had the introduction of the budget, approval of 3 grant applications for road projects, replacement hires for the law and fire department, increased overtime for the fire department in 2021, and approved a moratorium on car washes. Council had a lengthy meeting on October 14, highlights include recognition for a retired reserve officer, several internal promotions which resulted in approval for new hirings, request for legislation creating a moratorium on car washes, update on our parks, initial planning for Silver Springs Drive stormwater improvement, and update on the 2022 budget planning process.  Click below to read my full notes.
