Council Meeting 10/14/2021
Council had a lengthy meeting on October 14, highlights include recognition for a retired reserve officer, several internal promotions which resulted in approval for new hirings, request for legislation creating a moratorium on car washes, update on our parks, initial planning for Silver Springs Drive stormwater improvement, and update on the 2022 budget planning process. Council met Thursday evening and had a public hearing, committee and council meetings, highlights include the vote on re-zoning of the EnviroScience property, on Stow Road, a proposal for an additional car wash on Fishcreek Road, update on the purchase of the driving range property on Call Road, and update of the 2021 road program. Council Meeting 9/9/2021
Council met Thursday night and discussed several items, including an update on SKiP playground, Assistance to Firefighter Grant award for new extraction tools, the site plan for a new location for Corner Cup Coffeehouse, and the most controversial topic of the night, a vote on a proposed detox center on Graham Road.
Council Meeting 8/12/2021
Council met on Thursday night for several committee meetings and our Council meeting. The two larger items discussed both involved Planning Committee items, the first was discussion around a proposed detoxification center on Graham Road and the second was the first reading of a request to re-zone the lot recently purchased from the City by EnviroScience. We received an update on the 2021 sidewalk program, information from Chief Film on some recent crime occurrences, and the re-start of the neighborhood watch program.
