Council met on Thursday evening for likely our last Council meeting of 2020.  We had many annual contract items for review, updating our annual appropriations budget, boards and commissions re-appointments, approval of several hirings, along with discussion regarding amending the zoning text related to allowing for crematories in I-2 industrial districts.   Click below to read my full notes.

We had 3 committee meetings and a Council meeting on Thursday evening.  Highlights include purchases of a new snow plow truck and a new leaf machine, discussion regarding a new SKiP playground, we also approved the hiring of a Tax Auditor 2 and a renewal contract for our Assistant Superintendent at Fox Den Golf Course.  Full notes by clicking below.

We had a shorter Council meeting and five Committee meetings on Thursday. Highlights include approval of several capital items, Council sponsorship of the High School Close-Up program, withdraw of legislation regarding the Lodge renaming, a few updates to our code based on ORC changes, and some local code cleanup.  Click below to read my entire notes.

Council met last evening for 4 committee meetings and our regular council meeting, highlights include discussion of renaming Silver Springs Lodge in honor of Leona Farris, update on the 2020 Road Paving program, approval to hire a replacement police officer, legislation to update our process for rehiring or contracting with former employees, and a final summary to the public related to Council’s favorable decision from the Supreme Court related to the recommendations from Charter Review.  Read more below
