We had a shorter Council meeting on Thursday September 10th, highlights include a commendation for Lieutenant Ken Mifflin for his retirement after 25 years of service to the City of Stow, support to rename Steels Corner bridge in honor of John Lewis, and denial of two moral claims. Stow City Council met on Thursday for 4 committee meetings and our regular council meeting. The highlights include discussion regarding Charter Review recommendations, award of a grant for radios for our fire fighters, and presentation by the Akron Zoo on their improvements and upcoming levy. Council Meeting 7/9/2020
We had 3 committee meetings and our regular Council meeting on Thursday July 9, 2020. The highlights include: approval of a patio at Dairy Queen, an update on Adell Durbin Park, discussion of a performance audit for the City, approval of new school bus safety fines, discussion of an amendment to our recently passed legislation for racial equality, and a ballot issue for the residents to weigh in on a regional dispatch center.
